| Florrie & Nattergalene is not a young
and upcoming band. The women in the band have been playing together
since 1983. Their first gig was 23 March 1984, here
is a copy of the concertadvertisement, 20 years ago! They play rhythm&blues, blues and soulmusic with experience and commitment. The band have been playing at blues-, jazz- and rockclubs, they have entered large stages and stages where they barely had enough space to move, they have participated at a lot of festivals (e.g. Notodden Bluesfestival), and have also toured abroad. It is no big secret that they’re at their best at small clubs where they can get good communication with the audience. Torunn
Wikstroem is the bandleader, the band is situated in Oslo. The repertoire
is a mixture of old R&B/blues/soul-songs, and new songs written
by Torunn Wikstroem. |
